Photograph of Richard "Rich" Rybicki receiving the APCO Senior Life Member designation certificate in April, 2013. The 'senior designation' is bestowed to APCO Members who have made significate contributions to not only their home APCO Chapter, but to the APCO National Association as well. Chapter President Jeff Troyer is on the left, Rich Rybicki on the right (in blue shirt). Kim Ostin presented him his Senior Member status. Rich was quite surprised! Rich Rybicki (2006-2013) Chair of the APCO Historical Committee. He was first appointed in 2006. He has been an APCO member since 1987. He chaired the National Conference in Detroit in 1995. His career includes 21 years with the Detroit Police Department and 15 years for the state of Michigan as a radio technician. He retired in 2011 after 35 years of Public safety radio, he remains active at the National and Local APCO Levels. He is the current editor of the Historical Column in the APCO Bulletin. |
